Aengus is a world-ranked AI engineer and data scientist. He is also a medical doctor who received his training at UNSW. Aengus is the inventor of IVY which is an AI model that selects the best embryo for IVF. He is passionate about applying machine learning to make healthcare better, faster, and more affordable for patients through meaningful collaboration with clinicians.
Head of Applied AI
Ben is a data scientist of 15+ years in academia and industry. His key experience is in product-driven AI, interactive machine learning and natural language processing. Ben holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh. While a DECRA Fellow at the University of Sydney, he developed and taught the Master of Data Science. Ben loves building and leading teams that develop machine-in-the-loop tools to amplify human intelligence.
Chief Technology Officer
David has over 15 years experience across finance, insurance, investment banking and advertising industries. He has extensive skillsets in large scale software architecture, engineering best practices, InfoSec, AI / Machine Learning and Data. He has led multiple companies successfully implementing AI technologies. He is passionate about using technology to make the world a better place.

Dimitry is a medical technologist with 10 years experience spanning healthcare startups, an international hospital operator, and the NGO sector. He is passionate about increasing quality and accessibility of healthcare, especially in low-resource settings. Dimitry holds an Executive MBA from UNSW and is a CFA. He is also an Honorary Associate at Sydney Medical School.
Clinical AI Fellow
Hassan is an medical doctor and Emergency Medicine Advanced Trainee. His 10 year passion for innovation and entrepreneurship has seen him in founding roles across medical journals, NGOs, and social enterprise. He is interested in bridging the gap between medicine, technology and commerce. He is a staunch advocate of patients and clinicians, and believes in the potential of AI to transform the doctor-patient relationship for the better.
Medical AI Specialist
Jarrel is a medical doctor, radiology registrar, and AI researcher. He is passionate about identifying key problems in radiology and developing novel AI models and techniques to solve these. Jarrel has published his work in leading radiology journals and computer vision conferences, and is an honorary research associate at Monash University.
Chief Medical Officer
John worked as a doctor in NSW Health for 25 years, 12 as Director of a hospital Intensive Care Unit, and has been creating digital solutions for over 30 years, ranging from small business entrepreneurial tools, to inaugural roles as Chief Clinical Information Officer of NSW Health, and ANZ Chief Medical Director for DXC.technology. He is passionate about Human Factors, User Centred Design and engaging clinicians in the development of digital solutions.

Robin is a passionate healthcare IT professional with more than 14 years of industry experience. Robin holds a medical engineering degree from the University of Applied Sciences in Jena, Germany. With 6 years of healthcare IT consultancy for MKM Health and 8 years of radiology integration service delivery with GE Healthcare, Robin has built a broad and deep skill portfolio including designing and distributing an open source medical imaging solution.

Stephen is a Machine Learning Engineer with 10+ years experience in the corporate, government and research arenas. He holds a BEcon/BA and MEcon (Dean's Honours List) and has delivered across a range of machine learning problem domains including computer vision, natural language processing and time series forecasting. He is passionate about translating research into real-world impact.

Suganthi is a seasoned Quality Assurance/Testing professional with more than 14 years of experience in medical devices and healthcare systems. She carries a wide range of experience working across the globe with companies like Carestream Health, Baxter Healthcare and Codman Neurosciences. Suganthi is an ISTQB certified Test Manager with extensive experience in establishing testing & QA functions that are compliant to regulatory standards.

Xavier is a published research scientist and machine learning engineer. He holds a BSc (Advanced Mathematics) (Honours first Class), and MRes (Graduated with Distinction) and has been the recipient of awards from NICTA, Appen Butler Hill and Microsoft. He believes machine learning can be a powerful tool for good, and strives to deliver effective solutions to important problems.
Healthcare AI Strategy Manager
Bhoomi is a passionate strategy and management professional with experience across pharmaceutical and healthcare industries globally in sales & marketing, financial analysis and project management at Johns Hopkins Health System. Bhoomi holds an MHA from Johns Hopkins University and MBA in pharmaceutical technology management and is committed to working towards accessibility and delivery of quality healthcare.
Senior AI Engineer
Ben has more than 12 years experience in medical device design and development and has worked across the industry from academia and emerging businesses to some of Australia's largest medical device companies. Ben holds honors degrees in Mechatronics Engineering and Medical Science, and is completing a PhD in applied machine learning. Ben's focus is in translating the opportunities provided by AI to improve the quality of healthcare.
Clinical AI Fellow
Cyril is a doctor with an interest in medical AI and data science, as well as creating dialogue with the medical workforce to streamline the introduction of new technologies for better patient care. He holds a BSc(Adv) (Biochem, Chem, Nanoscience/Tech) and an MD from Sydney University. Cyril is passionate about working with multimodal data to improve understanding of the patient health journey, with a particular interest in natural language processing.
Regulatory Affairs Manager
Eric is a biomedical engineer with a PhD in medical imaging from UNSW. He has 10 years of experience in medical device regulation and quality across both the private and public sectors, including senior roles at the TGA as an assistant director and QMS auditor. Eric is also passionate about Artificial Intelligence and is pursuing a Master of Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
James holds a computer science degree, LLB, LLM and Master of IP Law from UTS. James is a lawyer and patent attorney with over 18 years of international experience. He has worked in private practice and with one of Australia's largest medical device companies. James is passionate about machine learning and mentoring startups in Sydney.

Jeffrey is a research scientist and machine learning engineer with previous experience in astrodynamics. He holds a BSc (mathematics, chemistry) and GDip (applied data analytics) from the Australian National University. Jeffrey is passionate about advancing computer vision and temporal algorithms in the medical field.

Pam is a dedicated Talent Acquisition professional with several years’ experience recruiting across Technology and Analytics sectors for organisations including Google and Commonwealth Bank. She is deeply passionate about people and building future capabilities, and enjoys bringing teams of like-minded bright and highly motivated individuals together. Pam holds a Bachelor of Commerce/Arts degree from UNSW and a Bachelor of Teaching degree from the University of Technology, Sydney.

He is a cross-disciplined technologist with experience in designing and delivering software solutions, building and leading engineering teams and contributing to business strategy. Son builds reliable products and leverages technology to provide seamless experiences for users. Son is passionate about developing technologies to improve people's lives.

Stephen holds a Master of Engineering (Biomedical) from UNSW. He has been commercialising medical devices for over 14 years in engineering and senior management roles. Stephen's experience spans across mobile and cloud-based clinical software through to life support ventilation devices. He is passionate about building strong teams and actively mentors MedTech startups.

Thuy worked as an investment professional at one of Australia’s leading private equity investors in the healthcare sector and has experience in financial structuring and management, operational management, and strategy. Thuy is passionate about building teams and capabilities, and optimising financial and human capital to deliver innovative healthcare solutions. Thuy holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Liberal Studies) from the University of Sydney.

Mary has 18 years’ marketing and communications experience working in Europe and ANZ on local and global campaigns. Her zeal for brand communications led her to work with some of the world’s most valuable brands across B2B, consumer and government sectors including pharmaceuticals, teleradiology, tertiary hospitals and medical associations. She is a holistic marketer focused on building ethical brand equity through meaningful stakeholder relationships, and believes business has an important role to play in shaping a better future for everyone.
